ABOUT THE CLUB
Re opened in 1935 by Jessie Anderson, later to become Jessie Valentine, the three times British Ladies Amateur Champion. An undulating parkland course, with well manicured greens, narrow fairways and picturesque views of Strathearn and the Grampians. It is a challenge for golfers of all handicaps. Situated in Perthshire, three miles from Crieff and six miles from the Gleneagles Hotel golf complex, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup. This nine hole golf course – with 18 tees – where a friendly welcome awaits, caters for visitors and parties and the clubhouse has catering throughout the year.
A Welcome from Our President
As President of Muthill Golf Club I would like to extend a warm welcome to prospective members and visitors to come and play our excellent nine hole course.
The course is nestled in the rolling countryside of Perthshire with extensive views of the surrounding hills – to the north Ben Chonzie, to the west Ben Vorlich and to the east the Lomond Hills of Fife.
We are not a large club, in fact we are a very small club with a membership of just over one hundred. We are therefore a very friendly, informal and inclusive club open to all.
Although a nine hole course we have different tees for the back nine holes. This makes some of the holes quite different, and all in all a challenging wee course.
We have Gents, Senior Gents and Ladies sections each catering for the interests of each group. We also try to encourage the younger generation to take up golf.
Our course is part of Drummond Castle Estate. The castle itself boasts one of the finest gardens in the country with its famous parterre which has featured in many big screen movies.
So why not pay us a visit while you are on holiday or thinking of becoming a member.
Cead mile failte- a hundred thousand welcomes.
